The Infamous "Raml" Prison

Of what Doctor Dahesh told me personally, and of the writings I've read, the Raml (Sand) prison was hell on Earth. He and Joseph Hajjar were crammed into a cell which housed 21 prisoners, and no facilitites...Filth everywhere, rats, and blood sucking bugs...Frequent fainting spells provided the only temporary respite...

This shot is based on eyewitness account. It represents the corridor that serviced 8 cells on the first floor, and 4 on the second floor. The corridor was 1.5 meters (4.92 Feet) wide by 50 meters (164 Feet) long!

Every now and then, the prisoners would be allowed to walk the hallways. On one of his walks, Doctor Dahesh discovers, to his horror, a cell crammed with women that had no clothes! These poor souls were stripped of their humanity and dignity...
