Mrs. Marie Haddad.

In my youth, I've had the distinct pleasure of meeting Mrs. Marie Haddad in person on numerous occasions. At the time (circa 1971) she appeared to me like any sweet grandmother. Little did I know this unassuming woman was a heroine of epic proportions. A gifted writer and artist, and once president of the Lebanese League of Artists, she publicly denounced the tyranny and malicious disregard of human (and legal) rights perpetrated by the first President of Lebanon against Doctor Dahesh. She would suffer greatly for her bravery at the hands of Laure El-Khoury, the First Lady of Lebanon- her sister...(To be continued.)
